8B: Writing assigment

Hello 8b!

Now you have read your book in English and it's time for you to write a text about it. Your task is to have conversation with main character about the book. The writing should be done in school and NOT at home. Prepare youself so you know what to write when getting to class ext week. You will have 2,5 lesson to write it, so plan!!!

1. First of all, take the main character to a place in the book that you liked, describe it and also explain to that person why it is important to you.

2. Talk the person about a scene in the book that you really liked and explain why you liked it; then ask what his or her thoughts are about this experience?

3. Talk to the main character about a scene in the book that surprised you, why did this person act this way? What would you do in the same situation?

4. Talk to the person about a part in the book that made you upset/sad? Tell him or her why this made you feel this way! If possible, ask the person why he or she made that decision.

5. Talk to the main character about a part in the book that was difficult for you to understand. Tell him or her how you got through it. What strategies did you use?

6.  Talk to another person in the book about what he or she thinks about the main character and why he or she has these thoughts. Compare these with your own. Describe what you think of the main character!

7. Which questions were left unanswered? Ask these to the main character!

8. Talk to him or her about the message and the theme of the book.

9. Talk to the main character about the end of the book. Did it end in the way you thought it would? Did the end surprise you? If possible, would the main character change how the book ended?

10. Ask the main character if he or she can spoil any details from what happened later.
